Sad as it may be – older parents are finding it very difficult to find a stable job to help them provide for their family. With the increase of new graduates to compete with, a job search is not a walk in the park. This is why some companies take advantage of this need and push their workers to the limit. Sadly, a bus driver couldn’t handle the working conditions and had a heart attack while he slept.
An grieving relative of the deceased worker called out the bus company he felt was responsible for his in-law’s death. He ranted on Facebook about the unfair treatment the victim was subjected to. The man wasn’t given sufficient time to rest and was also forced to sleep inside the very bus he drives.
The relative provided pictures of the deceased bus driver on the very day of his passing. He was sleeping on a piece of cardboard at the back of a very hot and stuffy bus. The post revealed that the bus company didn’t allow the man to have a day off for almost a month and was also forced to sleep inside the bus because he was new.
The driver was already employed at the company and had signed a contract for two years but this is how he ended up. It definitely broke the heart of the netizen -thinking that this family man with a wife and kids- would never see his family again. His poor children will never know the embrace of a father anymore because of the alleged horrific working conditions perpetrated by the bus company.
Now, what’s also more upsetting is the fact that the employers are trying to erase themselves of any responsibility regarding this man’s death. From what the source claimed, the company would not help the family shoulder the expenses of the burial as well as getting the body from Manila to this province, Bataan.
